Huge win of the DOGS this past Saturday over WCU!  The O had a clinic on how to run the TO, the D played great.  Very pleased when a kid steps up and says "I'm ready to play" and walks out and proves it.  So pleased all around.  Congrats Coach Thompson and staff.  Let's keep moving forward and beat Samford!  Go DOGS!

4 games left in the season, gotta run the table to have a winning record.  Tough road to hoe but with the sudden turn of fortune its certainly possible; we will find out soon whether Saturdays performance was a fluke or a taste of what we can expect in the near future.

Saturday was for real. But Samford will not be surprised by Underwood. I think the question is if Samford is good enough to control him w.o. selling out their pass defense. But we will be smoother with another week of practice and if Cherry or Billings are back even better.

@mrider46 I don’t think you’ll see Cherry back. Broken hand. 

I think the b back we have in there now (Walker) will stay there. 

Now they know Underwood is in there. I don’t know that there’s anything different for them to prepare for other than long drives and physical play.

Yes… this sat will be determined by:

1) smart play calling

2) clock control

3) DONT FUMBLE!!!

4) Defense: hold what you got. Keep doing what your doing.

Why don’t the SOCON refs review close plays?? Both our 4th & 4 on our 1st drive & the possible fumble on the Samford TD we’re close enough to warrant a review.

Green comes in for 1 play after Underwood’s helmet comes off & promptly fumbled the ball deep in Samford territory!!  JEEZUS!! Self destructing!!

Another TO!! fumble at midfield & Sammy gains 25 yards on 2 runs; They score here and then get the ball to start the 2nd half & you can stick a fork in us, ‘cause we’re done. Need a TO here!!
